Phnom Penh, 08:50 ICT
We landed at Pochentong International Airport, alive and kicking (ourselves for the drama!) V and I cleared Passport Control in a jiffy wherein R was (as usual!!) bogged down with umpteen Qs. We proceeded to leave our luggage in the cloakroom and head out to roam the dusty streets.

On the way to Choeung Ek (Killing Fields)
A Hindu-Buddhist empire of yesteryears, Khmer is the language, heavily influenced by Pali and Sanskrit. But being such a tourist-heavy city, most Cambodians are familiar with the most basic English.
So weaving our way through the streets, we headed out to Choeung Ek (Killing Fields) about 10 kms from the city.
Choeung Ek (Killing Fields), a memorial for a large number of people who were executed and buried by the communist Khmer Rouge, in the 4 years they ruled.
